Dancing Through Thanksgiving

By Jean Hallman
Our houses feel very cozy around Thanksgiving. Family and out-of-town guests fill porches, and usually all the bathrooms. While it is wonderful to have friends and family around, it doesn’t take long for us to start looking for out of the house activities to keep everyone entertained and happy. If you happen to have family in town and are looking for entertainment to get them out of the house, please consider Behind The Movement.
Behind The Movement is a night of dance and art designed to encourage community involvement and support of the Dance 411 Performance Company. The showcase has been thoughtfully created by renowned choreographer and creative director Jeremy Green. The production is designed to engage the participants and audience with informative, exciting, and entertaining performances.
“The performance is a beautiful experience,” said Coreygee Gunn, kids dance instructor. “There will be testimonials from some of the students, live performances, and lots of love and support for kids and the arts industry. By supporting Behind the Movement, you are helping the rising stars of the Dance 411 Kids Company reach their fullest potential,” said Gunn. “Some of the needs include scholarships for travel, competition fees, training, headshots, off-site events, master classes, and dance conventions. No child should be hindered from pursuing their dream due to finances.”
Behind The Movement will take place Sunday, November 20 at 6:00pm at The Lovett School located at 4075 Paces Ferry Road NW. All proceeds and donations raised from Behind The Movement will be donated to the Kids Company through the non-profit Dance 411 Foundation. You can purchase tickets, donate, and learn more at www.BehindTheMovement.eventbrite.com.
Kids Dance 411 is also offering a Thanksgiving Dance Camp to keep your kids moving and engaged while school is out. They may not pack on the pounds like adults during Thanksgiving, but one thing is for sure, they have plenty of energy that needs to be burned off in a productive way.
The dance day camp will run November 21 through 23 from 9:00am to 4:00pm with extended care offered from 8:00am to 6:00pm. The camp is for kids ages 5-13 years, and all experience levels are welcome.
Dance 411 will also be running deep Black Friday deals. Look for teasers on our social media channels. You can view them on the website Dance411Studios.com once launched.
Dance 411 will be closed the week of Thanksgiving, November 23 through 27. Come visit the studio at 475 Moreland Avenue SE, anytime to tour the facility. For more information on these events, or to register, visit KidsDance411.com, call the studio at 404-622-4110, or email Info@Dance411.com.
