Four candidates qualified to run for the open District 4 seat on the Fulton County Commission. The election will be part of the November 3 General Election ballot. The seat became vacant when Mo Ivory left her unexpired term in order to run for the Chair of the Commission.
Four candidates are seeking your vote. Natalie Hall held the seat prior to her defeat by Mo Ivory in 2024. She lists her occupation as an Information Technology Director.
Rohit Malhotra is the founder and director of the nonprofit Center for Civic Engagement. He lost in a close race for President of the Atlanta City Council in 2025.
Karen Rene served on the East Point City Council from 2014 to 2024. She ran unsuccessfully in a crowded field against Rep. David Scott for District 13 of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2024. She lists her occupation as “management.”
Aaron A. Sampson Jr. is a nonprofit executive with the Atlanta Community Tool Bank. He has not run for elected office before.
In a special election, there is no party primary. However, Malhotra and Sampson list themselves as Democrats while Hall and Rene say they are non-partisan.
