Calendar events take place in southeast Atlanta. The area is south of I-20 to Moreland Drive and includes Grant Park, Ormewood Park and East Atlanta. The next deadline for the calendar will be November 25, 2016. Email events to calendar@theporchpress.com with
 
Weekly Activities
The following activities take place every week as listed.
CHILDREN/STORY TIME
Ready Set Read! Storytime. East Atlanta Library, 400 Flat Shoals Avenue SE, for newborns to 5years, reservations required for groups of more than ten, 404-730-5438, 10:30am (every Tue).
S.T.E.A.M. Club. East Atlanta Library, 400 Flat Shoals Ave SE, for kids K – 5th grade, reservations required each week, 404-730-5438, 4:30pm.

Art Attack. Art classes for children ages 2-10, Hodgepodge Coffee house, 720 Moreland Avenue SE, $8 11:00am-12:00pm (every Mon).
 
SENIOR ACTIVITIES
Golden Age Center. St Paul United Methodist Church, 501 Grant Street SE, Rm R2. All senior citizens welcome 10:00am-2:00pm (Tues and Thurs).

The Filling Station: A Place to Refuel For The Chronically Ill. Park Avenue Baptist Church, 486 Park Ave SE, Young Adults’ room, handicapped entrance in rear alley off Sydney Street, for information call Stephanie 404-295-4390 or email Annie at fillingstations@gmail.com. 6:30-7:30pm (3rd Thurs).
Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. East Atlanta Village Farmers Market, 561 Flat Shoals Ave SE, seasonal dishes, cider, bonfire, 6pm.
Nov 19            Battle Began Here Tour: Civil War Battle of Atlanta. Tours starts in Kirkwood neighborhood ends near East Atlanta, walking tour $15, bike tour $25, by advance reservations only, see www.batlevent.org or call 404-377-6148, 10am.
