Community Meetings

GPNA (Grant Park Neighborhood Association). 3rd Tuesday of every month, 7:30pm-9:00pm. Check www.grantpark.org for details.

Winter Mini-Market. Through March 23, Thursdays 4:30pm-7:00pm.

Spring Market 2023. Opening Day March 30, Thursdays 4:00pm-8:00pm.

Bring a Can, Take a Can! April 13 at the EAV Farmers Market, sponsored by Roots Real Estate and East Atlanta Kids Club. Bring a canned food item or shelf-stable boxed item, and receive a can of beer, wine, or a can of whatever you’d like from the market’s assortment of beverages.

EAVrth Day Plant Sale. On April 20, the Farmer’s Market will celebrate their third annual plant sale in partnership with Love is Love Farm. There will be a huge variety of organic and heirloom varieties. Seedlings will be available for purchase. Pre-order and pick-up are available.

Third Annual Serviceberry Fest. June 1. More details to come.

This free interactive seminar with professionals who walk you through the steps of homeownership including the home inspection to financing and closing. DIY Pillow Making Craft for Adults. Tuesday, March 21, 11:30am-1:00pm. Limited to 15 participants. Adults only. Reservations are required by calling 404-613-7320 or sign up at the East Atlanta branch. Free and open to the public. Paid and sponsored by Friends of the East Atlanta Library.

Cookout and Potluck. Brownwood Park, 607 Brownwood Avenue, March 19, 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Kick off spring the right way by grilling and enjoying the beautiful warm weather. EAPN will bring meat dishes and they ask that you bring a side dish to share.

Happy Hour. Midway Pub, 552 Flat Shoals Avenue, March 27, 5:30pm. Bring the kids and share a toast to the minivan you never thought you’d buy.

Easter Egg Hunt. Brownwood Park, 607 Brownwood Avenue, April 1, 9:30am-12:00pm. 

The hunt is by age group with the littlest babies, birth -2 years starting at 9:30am, then toddlers, 2-4 years, at 10:15am, kids aged 5-7 at 10:45am, and finally the older kids (8 and up) at 11:15am.

Spring Fling, Field Day Edition. Brownwood Park, 607 Brownwood Avenue, May 20, 3:00pm. This is the first BIG event of the season. There will have music, vendors, fun-filled stations, and of course, free alcohol for the adults.

Pushing Up Daisies Garden Tour. Saturday, April 15. Garden Tour 11:00am-3:00pm. Historic Sylvester Cemetery Tours 11:00am-3:00pm. Music among the tombstones 3:00pm-6:00pm. Tickets 20$ for the tour and the music, $10, for just the music. Food and drink available. This event is sponsored by the Strut so head over to www.EastAtlantaStrut.com for more info or to purchase tickets.

ANCS Run with the Wolves.  Saturday, May 6. 5K and 1-mile race. 5K race starts at 8:15am and 1-mile run at 9:00am. 820 Essie Avenue, behind the Middle School building.

Ormewood Park Makers Festival. Saturday, May 20, 11:00am-6:00pm.

Grant Park Conservancy, Project G.R.A.N.T. (Greenspace Restoration and Neighborhood Teamwork): Second Saturday of every month. Choose from the morning session, 9:00am-12:00pm, or the 1:30pm-4:30pm afternoon session. To sign up, visit www.gpconservancy.org/events-programs/volunteer-work-days.
