FIFA Fan Fest at Centennial Olympic Park

Good news: entry to the FIFA Fan Festival™ Atlanta is completely free. It’s a family-friendly celebration where everyone is welcome – so bring your friends, bring your family, and come enjoy the festivities together.  Keep in mind that advance registration is required for all visitors. Entry is first-come, first-served and subject to capacity. After signing up, you’ll receive a QR code or wristband for entry. Don’t forget to bring a valid ID when you arrive. Decatur WatchFest

Celebrating FIFA World Cup 26™ soccer with a multi-day watch party June 11-July 19, 2026. The City of Decatur, Georgia welcomes you to Decatur WatchFest ’26, 34 days of free daily outdoor match showings on giant outdoor screens, live music on our brand new stage, food trucks, giveaways, a new play area for kids, as well as a skill zone and mini pitch. We also have 21 indoor WatchSpots at local restaurants, pubs, and shops. Everyone is welcome! From local fans to global guests, we can’t wait to gather with fellow soccer fans for this global sports event and celebrate world-class soccer.

Atlanta Beltline Fest

Two days of music, DJs, food, and World Cup matches on the big screen — all for FREE. Atlanta Beltline Fest at Pittsburgh Yards® will take place off the Southside Trail. To access all the festival activities, plan to take the Beltline and walk, ride, and roll on over for all of the fun.

Take part in an immersive tour highlighting Black Atlantans buried at Oakland (tickets required) or enjoy a free screening of Maynard, a documentary about Atlanta’s first African American mayor, Maynard Jackson. Plus, enjoy food trucks and hands-on activities for kids celebrating Black history, freedom, and equality.

Summer Camp. June 1 – July 24. Calling all parents and guardians of young explorers. This summer, Oakland campers experience a different camp every week, keeping campers engaged and excited from week to week. Savannah Nights. July 11, July 18, July 25, 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This casual, inspirational evening is perfect for a get-together or date night.  You’ll have three opportunities this summer to dance along to your favorite tunes and enjoy after-hours animal viewing during a unique, child-free evening. It’s the perfect blend of music, nature, and good vibes.  All Zoo Atlanta Members (21 and over) receive FREE admission to Savanna Nights! Grossology Day. July 12, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Turning “eww” into “wow!” on Grossology Day. Find out the scoop on animal poop, the details of disgusting diets, and more during our fifth annual Grossology Day at Zoo Atlanta! We will be exploring the purpose of animal behaviors that many think of as gross, but that help animals to survive and fulfill their roles in the ecosystem. As you explore the Zoo, check out activity stations, games, and more as we celebrate some of the less appreciated aspects of nature.

Phoenix Flies: A Celebration of Atlanta’s Historic Sites provides an opportunity to learn about, celebrate and strengthen Atlanta’s historic and cultural assets free of cost. Battle of Atlanta Commemoration Organization (BATL). Saturday, July 18. East Atlanta Village

1 p.m. at the Walker Monument and 2 p.m. at the McPherson Monument. Join BATL and retired Col. Perry Bennet, an expert historian on the Battle of Atlanta to celebrate the anniversary of the battle this July. The talks are free and open to the public. More information to come.

East Atlanta Chess Club. Meetings every Wednesday Branan Towers, 1200 Glenwood Avenue. Weekly rated tournament from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and free play for those players who want to play casually. All ages and skills levels are welcome. Children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult.

Ormewood Forest Cleanup. May 23, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Trees Atlanta needs volunteers with all experience levels to join upcoming community workdays dedicated to removing non-native invasive plants and supporting native habitat restoration. Learn how to spot and remove invasive species plants as you work along Trees Atlanta staff and trained volunteers. Be part of the team restoring one of Atlanta’s most cherished forests.
