Cadets Zyon Watkins (left), of Atlanta’s Summerhill neighborhood, and Tashae Troutman (right), of the city’s Thomasville area, won awards for academic and military excellence respectively from American Legion Post 134. Post Adjutant Sam Steger (center), (of Greensward Drive, NE, Atlanta) presented the awards. Both cadets are Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) students at Atlanta’s Maynard Jackson High School.
