Announcing a New Opportunity for Individuals 60+ in Grant Park Who Enjoy Walking

By Sandra Richardson
Neighbors who are 60+ years old are invited to participate in the brand new Grant Park 60+ Walking Group. We will start on Wednesday September 20th at 8 am and meet weekly on Wednesdays at 8 am. We will meet in the Park across from Ormond Street and Cherokee Ave near the police station. The walking path will be selected for any level of fitness. This will be a nice opportunity to meet new people who are your neighbors and to get some exercise at the same time. All fitness levels of 60+ year old people are welcome. The walk will last approximately 50 minutes and you can do the whole walk or a portion of the walk and build up from there. Suggestions for clothing are appropriate walking shoes, hat, sunglasses and water. The walk will begin at 8:10am. Polite dogs are welcome. The only requirement is that you enjoy yourself.
For questions, comments or to sign up and receive an email reminder, email livingthedreamatlanta@gmail.com. This is organized by a 60+ year old resident of Grant Park, no business or organization is affiliated with this group. Come on out fellow baby boomers and beyond, tell your friends and neighbors and we will get a little exercise and have a little fun! See you 9/20/2017 at 8:00 a.m. in Grant Park at Cherokee and Ormond.
