This Is Broadway: A Tribute to Musicals Past and Present!

On November 12, 13, and 14, members of the Maynard Jackson High School Show Choir and Dance Department will present “This is Broadway: A Tribute to Musicals Past and Present!” This fantastic production centers on a group of students who travel to New York to learn what it takes to become a Broadway star. The production incorporates numbers from Tony Award winning musicals such as Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Wicked, and Cats. “This Is Broadway” is guaranteed to please! Even novice musical theater attendees will enjoy this show!
Under the musical direction of our wonderful Teacher of the Year/chorus teacher, Ms. Lydia Williams, and our phenomenal dance teacher, Ms. Tiffany Mingo, the production stars our talented Maynard H. Jackson High School show choir and dance students and special guest performers.
The production runs from November 12 through 14, at 7:00pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. It will be held in the Maynard Jackson High School Auditorium at 801 Glenwood Avenue. Additionally, a tour of the school for prospective students and families will be held before the show on November 13 at 5:30pm.
