The Friends of East Atlanta Library exhibit of student work from Maynard Jackson High School will be on display until April 9 on the Gallery Wall at the branch on Flat Shoals Avenue in East Atlanta Village. Jackson instructor Elaina Tess assembled works in various media for the show. Students include Robert Allen, Angelo Evans, Samantha McWilliams, David Goodman, Lizbeth Aranda, Vanetta Guffey Yesika Santillan, Antonio Leonard, Estephanie Guerrero, and Justin Osborne along with others from the 9th through 12th grades at the school. Their works are done in various media including acrylics, collage, watercolor, graphite, and pen and ink. Jackson High School is located on Glenwood Avenue in Grant Park and all of the artists in this show are from the community.
The Gallery Wall is located in the Library’s Meeting Room. To see the show, visitors should ask at the circulation desk. Awards for Best of Show and Honorable Mention will be announced at a ceremony after the current publication of The Porch Press and will be featured in the May edition.
