Community, culture, and vision were the main reasons Festivals Jerk Chicken Grill chose to put their new restaurant in Glenwood Park. When it came to nailing down a location for their authentic Jamaican restaurant, owner Winston Ferguson, didn’t look any further after finding the perfect home for Festivals on Garrett Street.
“We chose the area for its diverse neighborhood and the opportunity to add a Caribbean restaurant to the line-up of other great food options in the area,” said Ferguson. “We want to be the meeting spot for the local community to enjoy our cuisine in the restaurant or at home.” While the location was a large reason Festivals chose to make roots in Glenwood Park, the economic development was also a huge allure.
“We are off to a great start here in Glenwood Park,” said co-owner Julie Ferguson. “We could not be more thrilled with choosing to put our restaurant here, mainly because the development in the economy has continued to move forward in East Atlanta and we are excited to be a part of the growth.”
