Join Park Avenue Baptist Church for “God’s Backyard Bible Camp Under the Stars” this summer. Get your children ready for an adventure that starts in your own backyard and gets bigger as your kids learn about serving their families, neighbors, communities, and friends. This backyard adventure will take place at Park Avenue Baptist Church on Sunday, June 2nd-Thursday, June 6 from 6:00pm-8:15pm daily.
Register online (for FREE) at parkavebaptist.com. Children age 3 through grade 6 are eligible to participate. Families who register before May 1 will be put into a drawing to win a $30 gift card to a local Grant Park restaurant.
Each day begins with a large-group “Backyard Bash” with music and fun, where kids will be introduced to a Bible story and a life focus. Then after they experience the other activities of the day, kids gather back to Backyard Bash to review, to be encouraged, and to be motivated to serve others.
Other activities include “Backyard Bible Club”, where kids will explore the Bible story in a variety of interactive ways and then apply the story by completing challenges; “Backyard Food & Fun”, where kids have time to move around, have fun, and fill up; “Clothesline Creations”, where kids create service-oriented crafts; and “Community Corner”, where kids hear stories and get motivated to be involved in community projects. All these fun activities are designed to connect to the Bible story, Bible Memory, and the life focus of serving!
