There’s a slight chill in the air in the mornings and evenings; the humidity has dropped below 120%. That must mean it’s almost time for an annual neighborhood tradition: the Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School’s Fall Fest.
On Saturday, October 17, the Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School (ANCS) will host the festival with pony rides, food, music, crafts, and activities to celebrate the arrival of fall. The event will take place from noon to 3:00pm at the elementary school campus, located at 688 Grant Street.
There will be fun activities geared for all ages, from two to one-hundred-and-two. Sit back and chill while listening to some of the best local musicians, or get up and move in some of the fun games and contests. Enjoy the delicious goodies at the bake sale and cupcake walk then burn off those calories in a three-legged race.
Kids will love to see and ride the ponies. Take a turn at the dunking booth and see if you can dunk one of the brave—and chilly—ANCS teachers, all for a good cause. Proceeds from the event go to support the ANCS Parent Teacher Community Association (PTCA).
“ANCS enjoys being an active part of the neighborhood, and we are grateful for the support we receive from our community. The ANCS Fall Fest is a great way to have some fun together and support the school at the same time,” said ANCS’s elementary campus principal Laura Zelski.
All members of the community are encouraged to come out to the ANCS Fall Fest, and event sponsors are needed to make the event as successful as previous years. ANCS needs and appreciates sponsors who can partner with the school to help make this event a success.
Tickets for the ANCS Fall Fest are $8 per person. Children two years old and under get in free. A family-of-four-package is $25 and includes two pony ride tickets. Advanced tickets can be purchased online after September 15 by visiting www.atlncs.org/fallfestival. Ticket price does not include food, drinks, bake sale items, or some activities.
