Exciting things are happening at Park Avenue Baptist Church. The church has recently renovated its historic sanctuary.
Park Avenue sought to create a modern worship environment while seeking to enhance the historic beauty of the 80-year-old sanctuary. This was done by restoring old trim work, painting, and removing carpet to reveal the original hardwood floors.
This truly was a collaborative effort. Farina Paints and Daniel’s Floors (www.danielsfloors.com) did a wonderful job helping with the renovation. Church members also gathered together to pull up old carpet, hang new projectors, and clean pews. Commenting on the renovation, Pastor Tony Lankford said, “The renovation truly reflects our current, growing congregation of young adults and local Southeast Atlanta residents.”
