Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School (ANCS) is getting ready for its 13th annual Run with the Wolves 5K and 1-Mile, happening on Saturday, May 3. This fun and challenging walk/run is open to everyone who wants to participate in a family-friendly event promoting healthy lifestyle choices and fitness awareness.
Organized by the ANCS PTCA, the Run with the Wolves 5K and 1-Mile is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier that has become a tradition for the community. The 5K event starts at 8:15am, and the 1-mile event starts at 9:00am. Online registration is available until April 27, and on-site registration is available on race day. Register before April 18, and you will receive a limited edition Run with the Wolves T-shirt. After that date, race shirts will not be guaranteed.
The event takes place at the ANCS Middle School Campus, located at 820 Essie Avenue. ANCS encourages participants to carpool, walk, or bike to the event, as parking is limited. For the safety of race participants, there will be a partial street closure along the course route. An assembly permit application from the City of Atlanta is in place and all major intersections will be monitored by police officers. You can find the course map on the race website at atlncs.org/5k.
