State Representative Running in a New District

By Becky Evans

Hi! My name is Becky Evans. I’m incredibly proud to be a wife, Mom to three amazing young adults, an 18-year DeKalb schools volunteer, a DeKalb County nonprofit co-founder, and our current State Representative in Georgia House District 89. I’m currently running in HD 90 because of redistricting. I’m incredibly proud of my proven record of delivering for our DeKalb families. I think it’s one thing to talk about an issue, I think it’s another to roll up your sleeves, get involved, and deliver results.

1. That’s why I’m so pleased to have successfully fought for nearly $10,000 in much-needed teacher pay raises for EACH Georgia teacher.

2. I also successfully fought to fully fund our kids’ schools’ Quality Basic Education formula for the five of the last syx years after a 10-year funding drought.

3. I have a 100% record of fighting to defend our right to vote and against voter suppression shenanigans.

4. I have a 100% record of fighting to defend Georgia women and children and reproductive justice issues – including choice and fighting to prevent infant mortality.

5. I’m so proud to have successfully helped create the Georgia LIteracy Council, which will help get kids who need help reading the support they need.

6. I think accessibility and transparency are vital and that’s why I’m proud to have held nearly 50 open town halls and listening sessions in our community.
