Following is a quick project update from the South Moreland Avenue Working Group (SMAWG):
Moreland Avenue Resurfacing
- Repaving is done
- Restriping lanes/crosswalks is mostly done
- Speed limit feedback signs are set to be installed this fall
- APD has committed to increased speed enforcement
- At least one new crosswalk across Moreland Avenue is planned
Glenwood/Moreland Alignment Project
- The 18-month project has been ongoing for three years
- The delay was due to unforeseen infrastructure repairs
- Repaving was set to begin the week of August 29
- Repaving will occur during evening hours to minimize traffic impact
