Save the Date: Giving Thanks Community Potluck Returns to EAV

By Carlen Ruth Hultgren

The grand finale of the of every EAV Farmers Market season is almost on us. On Thursday, November 20, the last market of the year, everyone is invited to bring a dish to share with friends, family, and neighbors in the traditional end-of-season Giving Thanks Community Potluck. Come out and celebrate with each other in the neighborhood’s charming Farmers Market space at 552 Stokeswood Avenue.

Bring a dish to share, BYO whatever you drink, and the Farmers Market will provide tables, chairs, and a fire pit. This event is free and open to the public. The food covers multiple dietary restrictions, and is labeled, so don’t be shy if your palate is not traditional. If you are bringing a dish, please arrive by 5:30pm, and helpers will assist in labeling it for dietary restrictions. Bring your own cup, plates, and utensils, to reduce waste.

Market will stay open till about 5:30pm so you can get still holiday ingredients and gifts from your favorite vendors, before you sit down. Stop by the info booth to write a thank you note to your favorite vendors and take a survey.

Remember dress warm, those sunny November days become chilly late November nights as soon as the sun goes down. But never fear, the firepit will be blazing with extra tables and seats for gathering.
