It Takes a Village

By Kyle Richards

The East Atlanta Parents Network (EAPN) is a core pillar of the East Atlanta Community Association and believes that East Atlanta can be the best palace in the city to raise families.  Let’s face it, parenting can sometimes be as challenging as it is rewarding, and that’s why “it takes a village.”

EAPN, established in 2009, wants to ensure that every parent has the opportunity to create meaningful connections with other families in the community and have a place where they can share experiences and discuss issues that are important to their families.  EAPN sponsors several events throughout the year to bring the community together and is involved in many local advocacy projects to contribute to a more inclusive, safe, and caring neighborhood.

On July 17 at 5:30pm, EAPN Dines Out at Junior’s Pizza in Summerhill. Come for a slice of pizza and a cold drink to celebrate community and enjoy this beautiful summer weather together.

On August 25 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, join your neighbors for Wet and Wild at Brownwood Park. There will be water blasters, water balloons, water sensory tables, sprinklers and small kiddie pools. We’ll be passing out free Kona Ice to keep cool and Red’s will be selling delicious hot dogs.

Please come out and see us at one of our events or reach out to us at Eapn@Eaca.net or follow us on Facebook or Instagram at EAVParents.
