Drew Charter School Art Exhibit and Party

The Friends of East Atlanta Library will host Drew Charter Schools’ Staff and Community Art Exhibition Friday, beginning October 25, 2013. This annual exhibition will be a showcase of artistic talents with the primary participants being Drew Charter School staff, parents and community visual and performing artists and volunteers.
The Opening Reception for “SOARING” is scheduled for Friday, October 25 at the East Atlanta Library on Flat Shoals Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. All are invite  ed to come for the art, music, wine and food party that will also be the Friends Annual elections. This exhibition will be a showcase of artistic talents with participants depicting a variety of subject matter and media; drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, etc. The eighteen visual arts participants represent all experience levels from amateur to professional, fine arts instructors, fifth grade teachers, administrators, parents, and community artists. The opening reception will also highlight a medley of musical performances by Drew Charter School music educators Kristen Faust (violin), Richard Turnbow (keyboard, vocals), Stephen Ross (guitar), and a community ensemble Eclectic Music.
Art shows build relationships and strengthen our school and local communities. Members of the Drew Charter School Family and the Friends group of the East Atlanta Library courtesy of Atlanta Fulton Public Library System. The free event will be at the East Atlanta Library at 400 Flat Shoals Avenue in the East Atlanta Village.  Join us in embracing the school and community through creativity!
