Did the Easter Bunny Leave Treats at East Atlanta Kids Club?

By Carlen Ruth Hultgren

Did the Easter Bunny leave treats at the East Atlanta Kids Club? Maybe, but you’ll have to come out to the fun community-wide event for kids of all ages to get your share!

The annual East Atlanta Easter Egg Hunt and Festival hosted by East Atlanta Kids Club (EAKC) takes place Saturday, April 13 from 10:00am to 12:30pm at Brownwood Park at 602 Brownwood Avenue in East Atlanta. Activities include the egg hunt, egg decorating, crafts, games, and lots of sweet treats. The fun begins inside the recreation center at 10:00am, and then moves outside, with the egg hunt getting under way at 11:00am sharp.

You can help EAKC prepare for the day in several ways. If time is an issue, you can donate bags of candy (small, individually wrapped candies) between 11:00am and 6:00pm on weekdays through Wednesday, April 10, or donate one or two dozen boiled and cooled eggs for the kids to dye and decorate. Please deliver these on Friday, April 12 between 1:00pm and 5:00pm or on Saturday April 13 between 9:00am and 10:30am.

If you are the volunteering type, you can help us stuff over 1,000 eggs with candy at the Brownwood Recreation Center on Wednesday, April 10 between 2:00pm and 6:00pm, or volunteer at the egg hunt event on April 13 between 9:30am and 11:30am or 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Come out, get your treats, find those eggs, and have a great time with the kids and the neighbor kids while supporting a fantastic organization. To volunteer or find out more information, contact EAKC at info@eastatlantakids.org.
