EABA General Meeting. Tuesday, August 20, 6:00pm-8:00pm. Argosy (in the Brig), 470 Flat Shoals Avenue. Join the East Atlanta Business Association at this month’s general meeting as outreach initiatives in and around East Atlanta will be highlighted. Programs such as Intown Cares, Blessing Bags of Warmth, Georgia Works, East Atlanta Kids Club and Bagel Rescue (among others)are doing amazing work to foster a culture of care and support for those in need within our community. Grant Park Summer Shade Festival. August 24-25. Annual music and art festival in Grant Park, to benefit the Grant Park Conservancy, with regional and local artists, live performances, and food vendors. https://summershadefestival.org.
EAPN Wet and Wild at Brownwood Park. Sunday, August 25, 3:00pm-5:00pm. 602 Brownwood Avenue. Let’s make a splash with water play! There will be water blasters, water balloons, water sensory tables, sprinklers and small kiddie pools. We’ll be passing out free Kona Ice to keep cool, and Red’s will be selling delicious hot dogs!
Brownwood Bike Rally. Saturday, September 14, 8:00am-1:00pm. Brownwood Park, 602 Brownwood Avenue. The Brownwood Bike Rally returns for it’s 20th year to support the East Atlanta Kids Club. East Atlanta Strut. East Atlanta Village. Saturday September 28, 11:00am-6:00pm. Join your neighbors and friends for 26th annual East Atlanta Strut. The morning starts with a 5K and the parade starts the festival at 11:00am. Music, games, food, drink and fun for the whole family will be spread around the Village. This is a FREE event for all to enjoy. Volunteers are needed.
