The Friends of the East Atlanta Library (FEAL) are thrilled to announce that their new FEAL Book Fund is officially up and running, thanks in large part to a generous grant from the East Atlanta Strut.
With up to $5,000 approved by the FEAL Board for new book purchases, the first big step was taken this March with an order of 178 books, mostly for kids, with some middle-grade selections and a few children’s books in Spanish. These fresh titles are starting to appear on the shelves, and the rest will arrive as soon as the book order is fulfilled.
As you browse the library’s collection, keep an eye out for a special sticker inside: “A Gift from the Friends of East Atlanta Library,” featuring FEAL’s brand new logo thanks to Board member Jenny Geib.
Big thanks to the East Atlanta Branch Manager, Terra Cribbs for placing the first order and helping bring this project to life. Everyone is looking forward to the other fantastic reads as they are purchased and added to the collection in the months ahead.
