After a week of temperatures approaching and surpassing the 100-degree mark, the BATL (Battle of Atlanta) organization has decided to forgo a tour in August. The East Atlanta Strut will be on Saturday, September 27, this year. A tour can be scheduled for that day or on the Sunday afternoon of that weekend, or earlier in the month. If you have been thinking about booking a tour with BATL, this is your opportunity.
There are three different tours: Frontlines, Civil War to Civil Rights, and The Battle Starts Here, each covering a different part of the three to four square mile area. One group is already interested. If you would like to put your order in, please call 404-377-6148 or email hbryantiii@comcast.net. The organization will be coordinating the schedule and tour according to the requests received.
Tours will be scheduled for the rest of 2025. Each walking tour costs a mere $15 and each one lasts approximately two hours. Saturday tours are scheduled for 10:30am or 2:30pm, and Sunday tours start at 2:30pm only. All are on the battlefield and near or in the East Atlanta neighborhood. All include battle sites and other neighborhood history.
