The good folks at the Atlanta Preservation Center are still hard at work firming up their schedule for the Annual Phoenix Flies celebration of preservation activities. They manage to come up with an engaging variety of free stuff to do over a period of sixteen or so days each winter.
This year BATL, the Battle of Atlanta commemoration organization, which puts on a neighborhood event each summer, will be offering a free walking tour of the front lines. The tour will leave from Joe’s coffee shop in the East Atlanta Village for an easy stroll along battle points.
Only one tour will be offered on March 17 at 3:30pm, and reservations will be required to ensure a spot in the group. It has been a very popular tour in past years.
Reservations can be made by calling The Atlanta Preservation Center at 404-688-3353. When the Phoenix Flies schedule is complete, it will be posted on their website (or in a link from it) at www.PreserveAtlanta.com.
