Our favorite longtime Porch Press supporter and neighborhood fixture, Bill Adams, shared this photo and these words: “This was my 50th consecutive Peachtree Road Race. I ran my first Peachtree as a 26-year-old on July 4, 1975. There were about 1,100 participants in the 1975 race. There were around 50,000 runners and walkers in this year’s race. The photo is a selfie taken by my wife Carol Adams, who also ran this year’s Peachtree.”
