Parkside Elementary PTA invites the community to come run at the annual Parkside Stride, Saturday, March 17. Kids can run the one-mile fun run, and there is a 5K run/walk for kids and adults alike. The 5K is also a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. All money raised goes toward making sure every Parkside student has the school supplies he or she needs throughout the academic year. Money also supports events and initiatives the PTA sponsors.
Same-day registration will begin at Parkside at 7:00am with T-shirts available while they last. The 5K race will start at 8:00am and wind through the Ormewood Park neighborhood. The one-mile fun run will kick off at 9:15am. An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the race.
Parkside would like to thank all race sponsors. As a neighborhood Title 1 school, it could not hold this and other events without the generous support of community businesses and neighbors. These businesses are Your Pie, Premier Glass Products, Preferred School Care, Shein and Brandenburg Law, ISU Paragon, Senator Nan Orrock, Intown Pediatrics, The Neighborhood Ballet, Six Feet Under, The Justin Landis Group, George Voegtlin with Adams Realtors, Inman Park Dentistry, Round Here Renovations, Southern Smiles Dentistry, Helen Kynes with Red Robin Realtors, Relish Hair Salon, Wilderness Works, Pellerin Real Estate, Williams Teusink, Grant Park Neighborhood Association, The Leonard, Snap Fitness, Intown Stars Gymnastics, Tailfin Marketing, The George, 3 Parks Wine Shop, Agave Restaurant, The Body Well, Full Commission, State Representative David Dreyer, and Yummy Street.
