Spring Fling Fun

The Grant Park Parent Network will be hosting the Spring Fling in Grant Park. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 23, from 11:00am to 1;00pm. To celebrate the arrival of spring, “Picnic in the Park” is this year’s theme.
Dust off your picnic basket, fill it up with lunch, and bring your spread to enjoy good old family fun in the park. For those who are on the go, the Grant Park parent network will sell prepared bag lunches. Don’t bother bringing anything sweet. The bake sale will have plenty of treats. The big event of the day is the Easter egg hunt with the Easter Bunny leading the way. The Egg Hunt will be split between two age groups at different times: Years 0 – 4 at 11:30am and years 5 – 10 at noon.
There will be a Jump House, lots of bubble activity, craft making, and lawn games for all to play. This is a great event to be with friends you already know, but also to meet neighbors you haven’t yet. All activities are free.
The Grant Park Parent Network (GPPN) is a community of parents who work together to make this piece of Atlanta a better place for our families. We sponsor events for children of all ages and offer opportunities for parents to become involved in the community through improving education and neighborhood resources, connecting with other neighborhood organizations, and organizing various events throughout the year.
GPPN is now more than 500 families and 750 children strong. Over the last few years, we have continued to see unprecedented growth in our community as we build and support some of the best elementary and middle schools in the city of Atlanta. We continue to improve the quality of family living with improved recreational facilities including new playgrounds and recreational equipment.
