Summer 2013 will bring an exciting new reason for guests to stay and play in the home of more than 1,500 animals from around the world. Preliminary construction has begun on an all new Splash Fountain sponsored by the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority on the grounds of Zoo Atlanta.
Scheduled to open in coming months, the interactive water feature will be free with general admission and will offer visitors an entertaining break as they enjoy the Zoo’s naturalistic habitats, keeper talks, animal training demonstrations, wildlife shows, and other daily activities.
“We’re delighted about opening the Splash Fountain this summer. Zoo Atlanta enjoys a reputation as an outstanding family destination, and this feature will give our Members and guests yet another fun reason to visit, play, and explore the Zoo,” said Raymond B. King, President and CEO. “We’d especially like to thank our partners at the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority for making this new experience possible and for continuing to invest in our community’s families by investing in Zoo Atlanta.”
Stay tuned for future details on the Splash Fountain.
