Or… what a great way to kick off Lent!
We just got through with our biggest holiday season of the year, and just when you thought it was time to stay home and relax, Mardi Gras sneaks up on you! This year the St. Paul Golden Age Center will celebrate our 25th Annual Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper on February 21. We always celebrate by cooking and sharing pancakes, warm syrup, and fruit toppings, bacon and sausage (regular or veggie), and orange juice. We’ll have balloons, tattoos, crafts, and Mardi Gras beads for the kids and the young at heart! And, of course, we really look forward to just visiting with our friends in the community.
Mark Tuesday, February 21on your calendar now! We will be serving pancakes from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the St. Paul United Methodist Church located at 501 Grant St. SE in historic Grant Park. Meal tickets for adults are $6. For children 8 and under, the cost is $3, and children under 5 or folks over 80 eat free! If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help, you may call our director Becky Wellman at 404-688-7501. Please come join our feast!
The event is sponsored by Carla and Scott Smith and Crossroads Hospice. All proceeds will benefit the St. Paul Golden Age Center directly, and donations are tax-exempt!
