Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School (ANCS) is getting ready for its annual Run with the Wolves 5K and 1 Mile, happening on Saturday, November 9. This fun walk/run is open to everyone who wants to participate in a family-friendly event promoting healthy lifestyle choices and fitness awareness. More details can be found at atlncs.org/5k.
Organized by the school’s PTCA, the Run with the Wolves 5K and 1 Mile is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier that has become a tradition for the community. The 5K event starts at 8:15am, and the 1 Mile event starts at 9:00am. Online registration is available until November 4, and on-site registration is available on race day. The registration price goes up on October 11 so register early to get the best rate.
Register before October 25 and you will receive a limited edition 2024 Run with the Wolves T-shirt. After that date, race shirts will not be guaranteed. Medals are awarded to the top finishers in each age group and the overall 5K winners will receive a gift card to Green Beans ATL.
The event takes place at the ANCS Middle School Campus, located at 820 Essie Avenue. ANCS encourages participants to carpool, walk, or bike to the event, as parking is limited. Street parking is available, but we ask that everyone be courteous of fellow runners and neighbors and follow all city parking laws. The course map for both the 5K and 1 Mile events can be found on the Run with the Wolves website.
Volunteers are needed to help with race day activities, including registration, course monitoring, and water stations. Volunteers can sign up at the Run with the Wolves website.
