Winter Solstice Stroll

By Grant Park Conservancy Staff

The restoration of the Lion Bridge and the Erskine Fountain are nearing completion and we are getting ready to unveil these historic treasures.

We want to acknowledge the efforts it took from teams of people to make these projects happen and to ensure they are done properly to last another generation.

We will celebrate on Sunday, December 20 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. This will be done in a safe and socially distanced manner in lieu of a traditional ribbon-cutting event.  Both the Lion Bridge and the Erskine Fountain will be lit with luminarias, and we invite you to take a self-guided, socially distant stroll through a gorgeous wintery park with paths lit by luminarias, leading you to each historic preservation project. It will be a truly lovely evening.

We are asking for your help one more time. We hope that you will consider sponsoring this special evening with a $30 luminary donation. Your sponsorship will allow us to celebrate as well as finish up the last few items on our project punch lists.

This project was made possible through the generous support of Conservancy members. Please considering renewing your membership or joining today to help us continue our important work in the park. Please visit https://gpconservancy.square.site/shop/7 to make a donation.
