The East Atlanta Strut is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to showcase East Atlanta as a great place to live, work and play. They engage the community in a festive environment in the heart of East Atlanta where people come together to have a fun time, support local businesses, and raise money for organizations and individuals whose work benefits the East Atlanta community and surrounding areas.
After all festival expenses are paid, the Strut distributes profits in the form of Neighborhood Good grants via a simple online application process. For the 2022 grant cycle, they will be awarding $25,000 in total grant monies in the form of fifteen $1,000 grants and two $5,000 grants. The application can be found on the Strut website, www.eastatlantastrut.com, in the About menu. The deadline for applications is December 1.
Since 2018, the Strut has gifted over $100,000 to organizations like Pet Buddies, Free99Fridge, Branan Towers, Nicholas House, our local public-school arts, music and educational programming, Historic Sylvester Cemetery, and The Porch Press. Spread the word and help them support your favorite organization that is doing good in the neighborhood.
