Slow Down Boulevard yard signs are now available for $20. All proceeds go toward the purchase of permanent “Your Speed Is” flashing signs, to be placed along Boulevard between the CVS store and the BeltLine.
To purchase a sign, please send payment via Zelle to slowdownboulevard@gmail.com or via Venmo to @slowdownboulevard. We ask that supporters include their email addresses in the payment message window so we can send directions for contactless pickup.
Slow Down Boulevard, Inc. is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) community advocacy group that is dedicated to creating traffic calming solutions on Boulevard SE between I-20 and McDonough Boulevard. Our mission is to increase awareness of Boulevard’s 25 mph speed limit in order to stop the speeding of cars and trucks that repeatedly threatens the lives of Grant Park pedestrians, cyclists, pets, and other drivers, and to make our neighborhood safe for all who live here or pass through.
By purchasing one of our “Slow Down” signs, you are helping to calm traffic while raising the necessary funds to purchase the permanent flashing signs. There are also plans in the works for Slow Down Boulevard T-shirts, bumper stickers, and more. Please check back if you are interested in purchasing these other items.
Our intention is to work independently but in cooperation with the Grant Park Neighborhood Association, A Safer Boulevard, and the City of Atlanta to make our street safer. As we meet our goals, we are open to expanding our efforts in the future to our Grant Park neighbors on Boulevard between I-20 and Memorial Drive, and then further on to Ponce de Leon Avenue.
