SEABA Updates

By Ashley McCartney
Our business luncheon at Zoo Atlanta went fantastically well! A huge thank you to Ron Fisher of Profiling Solutions for sharing his wisdom of customer relations management. A huge thanks also to Zoo Atlanta for hosting us again.
On June 20, 2013, the Sound Table graciously hosted our networking soiree. They provided delicious complementary tapas and their service was excellent. It was great to be welcomed into the Edgewood Avenue business district. We really need to get out there and support them with all this road construction underway.
Also on June 20, 2013, representatives from the SEABA board attended the fundraiser for Natalyn Archibong at Milltown Arms Tavern. She showed a lot of interest in our organization and our members’ priorities for our area. I encourage all of you to stay tuned to this race, as well as others throughout our area.
Speaking of politics, SEABA will be hosting two candidate forums on September 19, 2013 and September 26, 2013. Both will be held at Zoo Atlanta from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on the respective dates. September 19 will be a forum for city council candidates and the mayor. September 26 will be a forum for school board candidates. Come out and hear what our candidates have to say.
Our next networking soiree will be held on July 18, 2013 from 5:30 until 7:15 p.m. at Aesthetically Correct Design located at 197 Carroll Street. Valet Parking is available through Agave or Milltown Arms. Street parking is also available. Bring your business cards! This is where deals get started.
Good things are on the horizon for SEABA in 2013. Please check out our SEABA website at www.seabaga.org. If you would like to be on our mailing list or know more about our organization just send an email to ashmccartney@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you. We are also on Facebook.
SEABA (South East Atlanta Business Association) was created through the merger of the Reynoldstown/Cabbagetown Business Association and the Grant Park Merchants Association in 2006. Our most important goals are to strengthen and grow the business community and enhance the quality of life for all residents. SEABA is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation operated by volunteers.
