Santa and his elves have booked their travel to East Atlanta and are ready to pose for “elfies” with children of all ages and pets of all sorts on Saturday and Sunday, December 2 and 3, when the annual East Atlanta Santa returns to the Village.
For $20, visitors will get a flash drive full of their photos, shot by photographer Vandreena Cotton-Meeks, thanks to VNC Photography, Joe’s East Atlanta Coffee, Marc Takacs of Keller Williams Realty, and Screenfixing.Com. The staff is volunteers and one hundred percent of the proceeds are split equally between East Atlanta Kids Club and East Atlanta Neighbor In Need.
Santa takes reservations in ten minute increments from 9:30am until 12:30pm and again, 2:00pm until 5:00pm, on both Saturday and Sunday. Reservations fill up quickly, but Santa always has time for walk-in sessions around appointments. Check in is outside Joes, located at 510 Flat Shoals Avenue and pictures will be taken inside Nest Realty, located at 508 Flat Shoals Avenue. Email eavsanta@gmail with your preferred time.
In addition to Santa, the tree decorating contest along Flat Shoals and Village tree lighting will also return at5:30pm on Saturday, December 2 in the center of East Atlanta Village.
