“Return” Candlelight Tour of Homes Most Successful Ever

By Rebecca Wallace

Back with much excitement and fanfare after a two-year pandemic hiatus, the 2022 Grant Park Candlelight Tour of Homes was a huge success – the most money raised ever, in fact. The committee is appreciative of the dozens of volunteers without whom the event would not have happened.

Also, a big thanks to this year’s sponsors: Floor & Décor, Compass / Groundwork Realty, Rob Smith Realty, Round Here Renovations, Six Feet Under, Williams Teusink, Mediterranea Restaurant, Mezcalito’s Restaurant, Parclife Homes, The Neighborhood Ballet, Adams Realtors, Agave Restaurant, Bell & Washington, LLP, Buteco, Café of Life, Farm Burger, Grant & Little, Grant Park Market, Intown Pediatrics/Dr Sells, MEDICI Urgent Care and Wellness Center, Talat Market, Partner Insights, The Little Tart, and Highland Yoga.

As usual, beautifully decorated homes, Santa, children’s activities, and a festive concert made up this year’s tour. One new thing was a little book shop within the Artists’ Market. The shop featured a handful of local authors selling their books, two of whom donated their book sale proceeds to the tour. It was a new and fun idea that was enjoyed by all the marketgoers.

Save the date for the 2023 Candlelight Tour of Homes, December 9 and 10 as this favorite neighborhood holiday tradition continues. St. Paul UMC will once again put the event together with the help of the Grant Park Parent Network and the Grant Park Cooperative Preschool, the two other organizations who benefit from the proceeds.

Located at 501 Grant Street, St. Paul UMC offers weekly services on Sundays at 11am in person and streamed live on our Facebook page, @stpaulgrantpark. please call the church at 404-688-7501 or visit www.StPaulGrantPark.org for more information.
