This year’s Strut will be Saturday, September 28 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, and promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with new street closures, new games, new vendors, and a bunch of new fun.

The Ted Zone pet area in shady Brownwood Park, is new, featuring a dog obstacle course and pet-related vendor booths. This area will include artwork memorializing beloved pets who’ve crossed the rainbow bridge. If you’d like to include your past pet, please send a photo, of the pet only, no humans, to info@eastatlantastrut.com. Burgess-Peterson Academy students will embellish the photos before they are displayed. Brownwood Park will again host the Strut kids’ area, live music, the post-parade Battle of the Marching Bands, food, drink, and vendors.

The much-coveted Strut T-shirt will be designed by Atlanta artist Greg Mike, whose ABV Gallery has recently moved to East Atlanta. These collectibles will sell out, so make sure to reserve yours during the pre-order in August.

Keep an eye out for details on a special promotion from new Strut sponsor Bird scooters. Ride a scooter in the Strut Parade and then use it to explore the Strut footprint. Register today at eastatlantastrut.com to sell your stuff, march in the parade, or participate in events and contests like Strut Your Bake and Leaf Blower Madness.

Do you want to be a host or band in the Strut porch fest throughout East Atlanta? Register the address or tell us about your talents to be included as a part of the neighborhood-wide Strut programming. If you want to offer attendees some retail therapy or a snack, head to the “be a Strut vendor” web page. If you’d like to vend in the pet or kids areas at Brownwood Park, please put that in the field for notes to Strut organizers. All vendors must be registered by August 16.

Would you like to put your business name in front of more than 20,000 eyes? Sponsors for $250 and above can have their logo on the Strut Website for the year. Sponsors at the $500 level and above can have a vendor booth in the festival’s heart (while spaces last). Sponsors at the $1000 level get their name on the T-shirt as well as all the already mentioned other perks. Contact sponsorship@eastatlantastrut.com to find out which package best fits your needs.

The East Atlanta Strut is completely volunteer-driven, which means we need YOU to make it happen. Sign up today to lend a hand, and for each volunteer shift you work, you earn funds for your favorite nonprofit.
