Every year during Women’s History Month, the Georgia Legislative Women’s Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify the servant leadership in their neighborhood.
On Tuesday, March 12, House Representative Kim Schofield (HD-63) was proud to honor Ms. Lana Copeland Hardy as a recipient of the 2024 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award. Lana Copeland Hardy’s impressive career in health care spans decades of service to individuals with developmental disabilities and families in crisis, including her distinguished tenure at the Atlanta Alliance on Developmental Disabilities.
She has been appointed to numerous associations, councils, and committees, such as the Georgia Child Care Council, the Parent of Georgia Board of Directors, the Safety Net Task Force for Behavioral Health Care, and many more.
An Ormewood Park resident and long-time friend and neighbor of Senator Nan Orrock (SD 36), Lana Copeland Hardy is a woman of unassuming greatness whose humble acts of kindness and generosity have greatly uplifted her community, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.
State Rep. Kim Schofield represents Georgia House District 63, serving Atlanta, East Point, College Park, Hapeville, and Union City.
