The Ormewood Park Parents Group is proud to team up with sponsor Red Robin Realtors once again to host the annual neighborhood egg hunt. This year, the hunt returns to the Urban Farm of Ormewood (aka Red’s Farm) on Saturday, March 26, at 4:00pm sharp. The farm property is located in the acreage between Mercer and Naomi streets. Neighbors attending the hunt should enter at the Mercer Street gate but are reminded there will be no parking on Mercer.
In addition to the normal egg hunt fun, Red Robin Realtors will also serve their signature flavor of ice cream from Morelli’s Gourmet Ice Cream and Desserts. Kids won’t want to miss the opportunity to grab special prize eggs hidden on the grounds. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the grounds once the hunt concludes.
Parents need to drop off at least one dozen plastic stuffed eggs for each participating child between Monday, March 21, and Friday, March 25. Eggs should contain nut-free contents. Drop-off locations are the offices of Red Robin Realtors at 749 Moreland Ave., Suite A-102, or the Restrepo family home at 983 Eden Ave.
The event relies on volunteers to run smoothly. If you can lend a hand with set up, clean up, or supply donations, sign up at http://tinyurl.com/opeh2016. Organizer Jena Dost is available to field any event questions. She can be reached at lynoredost@gmail.com.
