The Battle of Atlanta Organization (BATL) has just announced its 2024 Season of Battlefield Tours. There are three tours that rotate with one offered each month on a Sunday afternoon. “The Battle Starts Here,” “Civil War to Civil Rights,” and “The Front Lines” cover different areas of the 3- to 4-square mile battlefield and tell the tale of the men who fought and how they came to be there. The tours also include a sizeable dose of neighborhood history for those who want to know more about the area in which they live. Tickets can be purchased online at www.BATLevent.org. The cost for the BATL tours is $15.00, and tickets and reservations are required. There will be a free tour offered in March through the Atlanta Preservation Center’s Phoenix Flies event series.
