New Houses to Complete Glenwood Park

By Nancy Leighton
Over 40 lots were left unbuilt in Glenwood Park when the economy began to decline in 2007 leaving the 55 acre development unfinished. In recent months hopeful signs for an improved economy can be seen as new homes on the remaining lots are under construction.  About a dozen homes are already up, several are already occupied, some are receiving finishing touches and others have just been framed up. Grading working for about a dozen more homes, mostly along Bill Kennedy Way, has started. Sewers and underground utilities were installed during the initial development of Glenwood Park making it much easier to hook up the new homes now.
Glenwood Park took many years of planning. Construction started about 15 years ago. Landscaping and trees planted years ago are beautifying the community as they mature. Filling in these last 40 home sites will complete this subdivision.
