Do you or someone you know live with chronic pain or illness? It can often be overwhelming managing the pain, medicines, doctors’ appointments, daily activities, dietary changes and ongoing questions you have floating around in your mind after a diagnosis. Now there is a local support group where you can connect with others who have the same questions as you, as well as those offering ideas about what has worked for them. Adult neighbors are invited to participate in this chronic pain and illness support group every third Thursday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. The group will meet at Park Avenue Baptist Church located at 486 Park Avenue (at the corner with Sydney Avenue).
Whether you have fibromyalgia, endometriosis, inflammatory bowel disease, lupus, multiple sclerosis, cancer or more, this support group will be a great place for you to come together with neighbors, live with hope, receive and offer advice, listen to guest speakers and share your story. Join the group this July 17th as neighbors begin helping neighbors who live with these often invisible diseases. For questions, please email S. Turner at email_smt@yahoo.com or A. Lusk at cabannie@gmail.com.
Get involved—you can make a difference!
