May 19 Democratic Primary Candidates

By Paul Bolster

The next round of elections is not far away. Candidates for the primary qualified by March 6 and will be on our Porch Press area ballots. Early voting will start April 27. The runoff, which is likely in some races, will be on June 16. This is all in preparation for the election between Democrats and Republicans and third parties that may qualify candidates on November 3. Often the outcome of the primary races decides who will be our elected officials.

Only one Republican has qualified for a local race.

We now know for sure who is running in the May 19 primary.

Registration to vote in the primary must be completed by April 19 in person at an Atnalta-Fulton County Library branch or online.

Pick a candidate and help them with their campaign. It is a great act of civic pride and participation. This action might be better than going to a rally.
