Local Gym Hosting Strength and Conditioning Seminar

By Elizabeth Harris
On January 28-29, 2012, CrossFit On the Move will host the CrossFit Football Trainer Course. This two-day seminar will offer a glimpse into professional-level training and conditioning used in the NFL. During this course, registrants will be taught the basic movements for training, sprinting, and drills including directional running, agility drills, and workouts in a group setting.  In addition, the curriculum includes nutrition and diet information, programming, and film study. “Hosting this seminar is an honor and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for people to receive NFL-caliber training in Grant Park,” said Toby Watson, owner of CrossFit On the Move.
The CrossFit Football Trainer Course was created by John Welbourn, a former professional football player who has a decade of experience in the NFL playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, and New England Patriots. “By combining high-intensity movements with a comprehensive strength and speed program, we offer a training certification that is unparalleled in the industry,” said Welbourn.
The seminar is appropriate for anyone interested in enriching a personal or professional training program, and no previous football experience is necessary. Attendees may include coaches, football players, parents of football players, personal trainers, and athletes—professional, collegiate, or weekend warriors. Upon completion, all attendees receive a CrossFit Football training certificate.
