The NPU-W Environmental committee working with Emory University, have received several questions and complaints regarding airborne particulates from the unpermitted open landfill at United Avenue and Avondale Avenue. The Saikawa Lab at Emory University is offering free soil screenings to our neighborhood residents to check their residential soil for heavy metals. Emphasis will be the immediate surrounding communities of Ormewood Park, Grant Park, Woodland Hills, and Boulevard Heights.
