Learn the Basics of Starting a Business

Presented by SCORE Atlanta and the U.S. Small Business, the seminar covers the startup basics for new businesses. Attendees will learn the advantages and disadvantages of owning a business; the most profitable legal form for your business; and the fundamentals of marketing, cash flow, and funding sources. This free introductory workshop is part of SCORE’s five-part SimpleSTEPS™ curriculum. It focuses on the basics of testing your business idea along with an overview of the skills and tools needed to go into business. The next SimpleSTEPS1 workshop will take place on October 13. Registration is still available but space is limited. You can email oscar.gittemeier@fultoncountyga.gov to reserve a spot. The workshops are repeated on a monthly basis. SCORER offers other workshops on topics including Internet Advertising and Social Media, Successful Email Marketing, and QuickBooks.
