The Friends of the East Atlanta Library (FEAL) are excited to announce the first Book Club meeting, and everyone is invited, Tuesday September 27 at 6:30 pm.
The committee selected “Balzac & the Little Chinese Seamstress” by Dai Sijie, a historical fiction/autobiography set during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. “From within the hopelessness and terror of one of the darkest passages in human history, Dai Sijie has fashioned a beguiling and unexpected story about the resilience of the human spirit, the wonder of romantic awakening and the magical power of storytelling.”
The club will meet the last Tuesday of each month starting this month at the East Atlanta Library conference room, located at 400 Flat Shoals Ave SE Dates may change once the group meets. The book club is free and open to the public.
