Visitors are encouraged to gather a group of friends or family for a day of spooky sleuthing on a self-guided scavenger hunt throughout historic Oakland Cemetery.
From October 1 through 31, attendees can purchase printable Haunted Hunt packets online (one per team), download, print, and follow all-new cryptic clues to solve riddles. No reservations are required to participate. Packets can be downloaded at https://oaklandcemetery.com/event/haunted-hunt-scavenger-hunt.
Each Haunted Hunt packet ($25 plus tax) includes one self-guided tour map (a $5 value) that can be used on return visits. The estimated time to complete the hunt is between one and a half and two hours.
Each team that purchases a packet will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Prizes include tour tickets, memberships, and more. There will be weekly prize drawings, and winners will be notified by email.
All proceeds from the Haunted Hunt benefit Historic Oakland Foundation’s mission to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Oakland Cemetery.
