Grant Park Pub Crawl Raises Money for Neighborhood Beautification

By Lauren Rocereta
Pub crawlers reveled as they made their way down Memorial Drive going from joint-to-joint (literally within crawling distance) in a great effort to raise money for future Grant Park neighborhood beautification projects. This was the second Grant Park Pub Crawl, and it continues to get bigger and better. The crawl started at Doc Chey’s; included stops at Six Feet Under, Republic Social House, and Tin Lizzy’s; and ended at Augustine’s. Prizes were raffled along the way, which included gift certificates to the participating restaurants. Only You Tattoo and Intown Market offered crawler perks as well.
The Grant Park Neighborhood Association (GPNA) would like to extend a big thanks to all the restaurants and volunteers. A special thanks goes to John Elmore of the Fundraising Committee for putting this together so quickly and successfully. John has accepted a job in New Mexico, so he will be sorely missed. If you or anyone you know would like to help the GPNA plan future events, please email the President, Russell Baggett, at president@gpna.org. The next pub crawl will be in the fall!
