Kicking off your favorite neighborhood festival, the East Atlanta Strut, the beloved tradition of the Strut 5K returns on Saturday, September 28.The fun-filled day begins with participants and supporters meeting at Village Fitness, 1231 Glenwood Avenue, on the corner of Joseph Avenue, at 8:30am.
The race will take you through 3.1 miles of the hilly streets of East Atlanta, starting and ending in the lively business district. Neighborhood residents will be out in full force as they ready for the day’s events, providing cheers of support to neighborhood guests. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome.
The Strut 5k is more than just a race; it is a celebration of unity and community spirit. As amateurs and professionals alike, lace up their running shoes, they embark on a journey towards supporting the East Atlanta Kids Club, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children in our community.
A small portion of the proceeds will be split between the East Atlanta Community Association (EACA) and the East Atlanta Business Association (EABA), two organizations that are committed to keeping East Atlanta Village safe and supported while maintaining its cultural vibe.
After the race, the Athlete’s Village will provide racers with entertainment, snacks, drinks, and more. Come for the run, stay for the fun.
